2, GENERAL DESCRIPTION of NPT 45RB Rescue boat/ rc fire boat
2.1 Rescue boat designed and manufactured according to latest SOLAS, Classification Society and National Authority requirements.
2.2 The rescue boat has excellent reliability, manoeuvrability, and sea-keeping abilities in order to fulfil its prime function to provide an effective means of search and recovery for persons missing at sea.
2.3 The layout and performance of the boat allow it to perform other roles including, dive support, Inspection,patrol, survey and work boat duties.
3, HULL AND DECK of NPT 45RB Rescue boat/lifeboat
3.1 The rescue boat is fabricated in fire-retardant glass reinforced polyester with a hand laid construction method.
3.2 Two longitudinal bulkheads, along the length of the hull, transverse bulkhead provides structural strength. The hull is a fully planning, with transom stern, giving optimum sea keeping ability at all speeds in all sea conditions.
3.3 The space between hull and inner liner is filled with polyurethane buoyancy foam. If damaged below the waterline, the boat will float at safe level in fully flooded and loaded condition. The boat is fitted with a drain plug at the lowest position.
3.4 A neoprene fender protects the hull by absorbing impacts. The deck has an anti-slip surface. Lifelines and grab handles
are fitted on the gunwale.
4. PROPULSION SYSTEM
The rescue boat is fitted with an approved petrol outboard motor with the following features:

5. DECK FITTINGS
The boat has been designed to provide a protected and safe working environment for the crew, engine and equipment. It has the following features:
5.1 Equipment box with watertight hatch

5.4 Samson post mounted at aft corner
5.5 Secure grab handles throughout the boat
5.6 Spray hood to protect persons on deck
